Summer Isn’t Complete without Tech Camp!

Join us for Summer at New England Tech! Our day camps are open to students entering grades 9 through 12 and offer a variety of exciting topics for campers to explore. In addition to enjoying fun summer days with their peers, campers will acquire foundational skills that they can use throughout high school and beyond.

Led by New England Tech’s industry-leading faculty, each day camp is held at ºÚÁÏÉç’s campuses in Warwick and East Greenwich, RI. Campers will learn in the same facilities and labs as our college students, giving them the opportunity to develop new skills in a college environment.

    This camp will provide students with the essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to turn their creative ideas into reality through animation and motion graphics. Students will explore the theory behind traditional animation principles and apply what they learn using Adobe After Effects.

    Introduction to Vehicle Maintenance Warwick (Access Rd) $425

    Introduction to Vehicle Maintenance

    In the Automotive Technology Summer Camp, students will learn basic maintenance procedures such as tire rotation, flat tire repair, oil and filter changes, and servicing both air and cabin air filters. Closed-toe shoes and pants are required for safety.

    Introduction to Computer Programming EG $375

    Introduction to Computer Programming

    This course is designed to introduce high school students to the exciting world of computing and problem-solving. Students will explore how computers work and learn how to think logically and creatively—no advanced math required. The goal is to build confidence, curiosity, and skills that are useful in academics, future careers, and everyday life. Students will work together, share ideas, and learn how teamwork can lead to better solutions. Participation and curiosity are encouraged as students discover how technology impacts the world around them and how they can be part of it. During this one-week course, students will learn the basics of computer systems, practice organizing their ideas using pseudocode and flowcharts, solve problems step by step, and explore number systems. They will also use Visual Studio 2022 to create simple, game-style programs in C++, learn how functions work, and practice using arrays.

    Electronics and Robotics EG $425

    Electronics and Robotics

    Students will assemble a small robotic car and learn to program basic commands for it. They will also have the opportunity to program and control a small robotic arm called the learning Co-Bot functions using the IGUS Rebel Co-Bot. Additionally, students will use flight simulators to learn how to fly a drone before flying small drones during class. Students will learn to use simulation software for designing and testing circuits. They will also build and test these circuits using physical components. By the end of the course, they will assemble and solder a small, fully functioning circuit.

    If you love TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and creating content, this camp is for you. At our Social Media & Digital Marketing Camp, you will not just scroll. You will learn how to own the feed. Discover how influencers grow, how brands go viral, and how you can build your own online presence. You will create high-impact content, learn growth strategies, film and edit videos, design eye-catching posts, and run real marketing campaigns. No experience needed.     Criminal Justice

    During the camp experience, participants will learn forensic techniques and engage in hands-on activities in ºÚÁÏÉç’s unique crime scene simulation labs. The topics covered will include fingerprinting methods, the use of Alternate Light Sources, shoe wear impressions, and mock crime scene investigation walkthroughs.

    Lab Life- A Behind the Scenes Science Camp EG $375

    Lab Life- A Behind the Scenes Science Camp

    In this workshop, students will discover what happens inside a hospital lab! Explore different departments like microbiology, hematology, and chemistry, learn the types of tests they perform, and see how doctors use these results to diagnose and treat patients. The students will get a hands-on experience and find out how medical laboratory science saves lives every day.

    Audio Recording Tech Camp

    This audio camp will place the campers in a professional studio setting, where they learn the technical foundations of audio engineering. Campers gain hands‑on experience with microphone selection and placement, signal flow, multitrack recording, editing, and mixing using industry‑standard tools together will run a recording session from setup to final mix.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does my student need to be experienced in the topic they are selecting to be able to participate?

    No. Each program is designed for entry-level students, but there is flexibility for those with experience to benefit from the workshops and learn something new.

  • Is transportation provided?

    No. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp.

  • Is lunch provided?

    Lunch is not included in the initial camp pricing. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a Boxed lunch which will include a Sandwich, drink, bag of chips, and cookie. Total cost of lunch for all 5 days is $75. Those not purchasinglunch through ºÚÁÏÉç will need to bring a bag lunch as cafeteria services are not available during the camps.

  • Will participants need to cover any additional costs?

    No. Vending machines are available for students who may want additional snacks or refreshments, however all camp materials are included in the camp price.

  • Where will the camps be held?

    Most camps are held at our main campus: Main Campus- 1 New England Tech Blvd in East Greenwich. The Introduction to Vehicle Maintenance will take place at 110 Access Road in Warwick at our Automotive Lab.

  • What will my child be learning and doing in camp?

    The camp topic will determine the curriculum and activities, but each camp will feature a blend of classroom learning and hands-on lab activities, with a strong emphasis on the latter.

  • What is the camp schedule?

    – 8:45 AM: Arrival
    – 9:00 AM – 11:30AM: Workshop 1
    – 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Lunch
    – 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Workshop 2
    – 2:30 PM – 2:45 PM: Dismissal

  • Can my child participate in more than one camp?

    Students can participate in 1 camp at a time- 1 for June 22-26, 1 for July 7-10. Each camp would be paid for separately.

    Students from select cities below are eligible to take part in a lottery for a full camp scholarship, thanks to state funding provided by the Governor’s Workforce Board and Real Skills for Youth.
